The NOMATEN Scientific Workshop organized by National Centre of Nuclear Research (NCBJ, Poland) in cooperation with Atomic Energy and Alternative Energy Commission (CEA, France) and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd (VTT Finland), will take place in Poland on May 15-17, 2018. 

The workshop will be held on NCBJ premises in Świerk (the Science and Technology Park "Świerk"). The three-day meeting filled with scientific sessions will be followed by technical progress meeting of the NOMATEN Centre of Excellence project on May 18, 2018.

It will be a very good opportunity to establish working contacts in future Research Groups, provide an overview of current topics in the research areas, discuss current results and future tasks. The Workshop will be also a good measure to present NOMATEN concept and its current status to institutions, such as the Polish Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and others.

The scheduled talks are promising to cover topics related to material synthesis and measurements, radiation damage in materials, molecular dynamics simulations in application to modelization of radiation damage in materials, modelling of functional properties of materials as well as synthesis, investigation and application of radiopharmaceuticals.

The purpose of the undertaking is to support entities of the higher education and science system that have received funding from the European Union budget in the competition H2020-WIDESPREAD-2018-2020/WIDESPREAD-01-2018-2019: Teaming Phase 2. in the preparation, implementation and updating of activities, maintenance of material resources necessary for carrying out activities, acquisition and modernization of scientific and research apparatus, maintenance and development of personnel potential necessary for the implementation of activities, and dissemination of the results of scientific activities.
