CONNECT-NM project proposal

We at NOMATEN, together with colleagues from CIEMAT and CNRS, are making a project proposal for the CONNECT-NM call (Coordination of the European Research Community on Nuclear Materials for Energy Innovation, under the EURATOM). The project establishes a multiscale characterization method including CPFEM, MD, DFT simulations, nanoindentation experiments, and TEM/SEM investigations. We plan to study irradiation effects and their interactions in iron alloys. The full title is: “Experimentally Guided Multiscale Modeling of Nanoindentation-Driven Dislocation Dynamics and Defect Interactions in Irradiated Alloys (EMIIDNA)”.
