Materials Today 2025 conference
On June 23–26, 2025, I had the pleasure of attending the Materials Today Conference, organized by Elsevier in Sitges, Spain. This large international event brings together diverse areas of materials research and highlights their crucial role in addressing major global challenges, including those related to nuclear technologies.
I delivered an oral presentation presenting my POLONEZ BIS 3 project and its latest results, entitled “Predicting Irradiation Hardening and Microstructural Evolution in Irradiated Eurofer97: A Nanoindentation Study Supported by CPFEM and TEM.” The talk attracted particular interest from the audience, partly because relatively few contributions addressed nuclear materials, while using methods that largely rely on traditional characterization approaches.
