NEUTRONS FOR SCIENCE
NCBJ HQ in Otwock
NOMATEN hosted workshops focused on neutron technology and research conducted by Polish research groups. The event's primary goal was to foster integration among scientists, including physicists, chemists, materials engineers, and biologists from Polish research institutions that use neutron beams to investigate material properties.
NCBJ in Świerk, in collaboration with the NOMATEN Centre of Excellence, the Polish Neutron Scattering Society, and the H. Niewodniczański Institute of Nuclear Physics PAN, has established a forum to promote collaboration among institutions interested in neutron research across Poland.
The workshops provided an opportunity to assess scientific needs and outline research plans that can be pursued in Poland, particularly within the emerging Maria Neutron Laboratory (MNL) at NCBJ. This laboratory, co-financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, aims to support the future of neutron research in Poland.
On October 18, 2024, the National Center for Nuclear Research in Świerk will host workshops on neutron technology and research carried out by Polish research groups.
