NOMATEN Symposium at E-MRS Fall Meeting 2026 (Warsaw)
NOMATEN will co-organize a symposium entitled “From Atoms to Applications: Multiscale Modeling and Data-Driven Strategies for Advanced Materials” during the E-MRS Fall Meeting 2026, which will take place on September 16–17, 2026 in Warsaw, Poland.
The symposium will focus on advanced multiscale modeling approaches that bridge atomistic mechanisms with macroscopic material behavior, combining computational methods with data-driven techniques. It aims to provide predictive insights into complex materials systems and foster collaboration between computational and experimental materials science communities.
Topics will include:
- Multiscale modeling (DFT → MD → continuum)
- Transition state theory and accelerated dynamics
- Machine learning for materials discovery
- Data-driven microstructural analysis
- Surrogate modeling
- Uncertainty quantification
- Integration of simulations with experiments
- Materials for energy and nuclear technologies
Confirmed invited speakers include:
- Dr. Laurance Luneville (CEA Paris-Saclay, France)
- Prof. Konrad Perzyński (AGH University of Krakow, Poland)
- Additional speaker (AI for Materials) – to be announced
The symposium is organized by:
- Dr. Mark Fedorov (NCBJ, Poland)
- Dr. David Simeone (Université Paris-Saclay / CEA, France)
- Dr. Christina Schenk (IMDEA Materials Institute, Spain)
Abstract submission deadline: June 1, 2026
Selected contributions will be considered for publication in Modelling and Simulation in Materials Science and Engineering.
We warmly invite researchers working in computational and experimental materials science to submit their contributions and participate in the symposium.
