Welcome to the NOMATEN Symposium.

NOMATEN hosts a Symposium on Plasma Materials Interactions and Diagnostics from May 21-23, 2024. This hybrid event offers in-person and virtual participation options, aiming to bridge scientific collaborations between Poland and the EU. We are honored to feature Dr. Marcin Jakubowski from the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics, Dr. Andrea Sand from Aalto University, Dr. Christophe Ortiz from CIEMAT, Dr. Miroslaw Zlobinski from Forschungszentrum Jülich, and Dr. Roman Zagórski from National Centre for Nuclear Research  as a distinguished speakers.

The symposium covers diverse topics, spanning numerical simulations to experimental exploration, all pertinent to fusion, plasma diagnostics, and materials science. Conducted in English, the workshop ensures accessibility to a global audience.

Attendees will glean insights into international materials science research through presentations from renowned researchers, followed by interactive Q&A sessions. Networking opportunities abound, fostering connections and potential collaborations.

Selected presentations may lead to journal paper submissions for a special issue in Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion (IOP).

We invite researchers, scientists, and professionals to join this enriching event. Registration details and further information will be shared soon.
There is no registration fee for all attendees.

We gratefully acknowledge the Societas Humboldtiana Polonorum and the Humboldt Foundation for their patronage. Their support ensures the success of our event, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing. We are honored to have their endorsement and look forward to a fruitful gathering.

Looking forward to your participation in advancing research and collaboration in the field.
