The National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) in Poland offers job positions in the framework of the NOMATEN Centre of Excellence formed through a partnership between NCBJ, CEA (France) and VTT (Finland). NOMATEN will focus on the studies and development of novel materials, specifically those designed to work under harsh conditions – radiation, high temperatures and corrosive environments.

The Kick-off Meeting of the NOMATEN Teaming Phase 2 project took place in Warsaw and Świerk on December 10-11, 2019.

Representatives of the European Commission, Polish ministries interested in the implementation of the project and the Foundation for Polish Science as well as scientists met at the premises of the National Centre for Nuclear Research.

On December 12, 2017 the contract to build the facility of Centre for Design and Synthesis of Molecularly Targeted Radiopharmaceuticals (CERAD) has been signed.

Novel radiopharmaceutical materials for medical applications belong to one of the strategic research and innovation topics of a long-term science and innovation strategy of NOMATEN Centre of Excellence. In the future, the NOMATEN CoE will benefit from collaboration with the CERAD project, the objective of which is to develop a modern infrastructure dedicated to research on new diagnostic/therapy radiopharmaceuticals based on ligands biologically active on the cell/molecular level. The NOMATEN Center of Excellence project was given as an example (the only) of initiatives in the new Union that deserved funding under the Horizon 2020 program to boost research and innovation performance and inspiring the scientific community to develop new products and processes in tandem with leading scientific institutes from all over Europe (read more)

NOMATEN Centre of Excellence at the meeting at The National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) summed up its 5-year activity
Three Polish Centers of Excellence that received funding from Horizon 2020: Sano, ENSEMBLE3 and NOMATEN - summed up their 5-year activities at a conference dedicated to the "Teaming for Excellence" competition. Representatives of the following projects recently received a grant from Horizon Europe: TRIO-VI, AstroCENT Plus and P4Health, and they also discussed their plans. The meeting was hosted by the National Center for Research and Development.

On 20-24 May 2019, professor Jacek Jagielski, coordinator of the NOMATEN Teaming project, visited the Japanese Atomic Energy Agency.

The purpose of the undertaking is to support entities of the higher education and science system that have received funding from the European Union budget in the competition H2020-WIDESPREAD-2018-2020/WIDESPREAD-01-2018-2019: Teaming Phase 2. in the preparation, implementation and updating of activities, maintenance of material resources necessary for carrying out activities, acquisition and modernization of scientific and research apparatus, maintenance and development of personnel potential necessary for the implementation of activities, and dissemination of the results of scientific activities.
