Atom Probe Tomography at the Chalmers University - Sri Tapasvi Nori

Title: Atom Probe Tomography analysis of irradiated Fe-Cr alloys and NiCo based medium entropy alloys

Abstract: The Fe-Cr alloys such as Fe9CrNiSiP are the potential candidates for nuclear fusion applications. Under the influence of high-temperature irradiation, the alloys are expected to exhibit chemical clustering. The chemical clusters improve mechanical properties via dislocation pinning and radiation resistance via defect absorption. The atom probe tomography analysis is aimed at revealing the cluster formation phenomenon in these alloys upon irradiation. Similarly, medium entropy alloys such as the NiCoCr are expected to form/enhance short-range ordered clusters. Hence, the atom probe analysis of these alloys will reveal such clustering effects.
