Title of the project: NOMATEN CoRE

Abstract: The primary goal of the NOMATEN CoRE project is to support the growth of the NOMATEN Center of Excellence (NOMATEN Center) by acquiring a critical amount of high-end equipment devoted to modeling, fabrication, and testing of materials exposed to extreme operating conditions. These materials will be used in several different sectors, such as heavy industry, medical, and energy.

Research conducted at the NOMATEN Center covers the full spectrum of actions – from theoretical description and modeling of materials, through their design, fabrication, and functional property testing, terminating in building and testing real components and solutions. Common characteristics necessary to properly address material-design challenges include knowledge of their behavior under high temperatures, corrosion and stress, as well as radiolysis resulting from use in high-activity environments, which is especially important for radiopharmaceuticals (both therapeutic and diagnostic applications). To address these challenges four different laboratories will be build, commissioned and operated for at least fifteen year:

Functional Analysis Laboratory
Data Analysis and Computer Simulation Laboratory;
Preclinical Research Laboratory;
